In a recent tweet, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is on the radar of Chelsea. It has been revealed that the Blues’ head coach Thomas Tuchel is a big admirer of the English wide player and could move in for him during this summer transfer window.
Raheem Sterling, for sure one of the names on Chelsea list with Thomas Tuchel big fan of the English winger. Chelsea have explored conditions of the deal 🔵 #CFC
No direct talks between Man City and Chelsea or bid yet. Depends on other deals like Lukaku, Ousmane and more. https://t.co/c5QmbERg9m

Sterling’s Decent Numbers At The Etihad Stadium Last Season
Sterling has impressed at times over the past ten months but has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in Pep Guardiola’s first XI. The 27-year-old banged in 17 goals and earned nine assists in 47 matches for Man City last season across all fronts.
The former Liverpool wide player was a constant menace in the final third based on his average of 1.9 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in Premier League football.
Sterling was even accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after he completed 85.4% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
Should Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel Bring Sterling On Board This Summer?
Sterling can use his quickness and agility to make a few promising runs with the ball out in the wide areas. The English wing wizard has got the eye to play a decisive pass in the attacking end of the field and can be a good finisher in front of the opposition goal when he is playing regularly and with confidence on the field. He is versatile enough to play anywhere across the frontline.
At 27, Sterling is currently playing at the top of his game and could make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge if Tuchel can find a way to get a deal done for him this summer.
We can expect Sterling to inject more pace and goals into Chelsea‘s frontline. He could even help the Blues bridge the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of Premier League football in the coming seasons.
Sterling has just got a year left to run in his contract at the Etihad, so the West London giants should think about bringing him on board before the end of this summer transfer window.
