Per Christian Falk of Bild, City have turned their interest to Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa after failing to agree on terms to sign Brighton’s Marc Cucurella.

After selling Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal, Manchester City would now like to sign the 24-year-old Sosa to their ranks. A fee in the range of €20 to €25 million could be submitted in the near future. Sosa is the most likely candidate to join the Premier League side, as it looks like Chelsea were able to out-bid City for the rights to Brighton’s Cucurella.
Along with teammate Saša Kalajdžić, Sosa’s exit has been rumored for quite some time. The Croatian international joined Stuttgart from Dinamo Zagreb for €6 million in 2018 and has greatly impressed. He’s recorded 19 assists in the last 2 years, while becoming one of the best set-piece takers in the Bundesliga.
Sosa’s current contract expires in 2025.
