Real Betis have launched an ambitious attempt to bring Manchester United winger Antony back to Seville, exploring the possibility of a loan deal with an option to buy in the region of £35 million, according to Daily Mail.
The Spanish side is determined to secure the Brazilian’s services permanently following a highly successful six-month loan spell.
Antony made a huge impact during his stint in La Liga, contributing five goals and two assists across 17 appearances.
Antony revived his career away from Man United
Beyond domestic action, he also played a crucial role in Betis’ memorable run to the UEFA Conference League final, where they ultimately fell short against Chelsea.
Talks between Betis and Manchester United took place last week, though a final agreement has yet to be reached.
Despite financial constraints, the Andalusian club remain undeterred. The club is reportedly ready to work hard towards completing the signing of the Brazilian winger.
Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have emerged as serious contenders for the winger’s signature.
A switch to Germany would see Antony reunited with Erik ten Hag, who recently took over at Leverkusen.
The Red Devils are looking to offload a number of their players this summer in order to raise funds for their transfer business.
They have already managed to complete the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and plan to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
Ruben Amorim is planning to overhaul his squad

The likes of Antony, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are all on the transfer list at Old Trafford with none of the players among the future plans of manager Ruben Amorim.
While Antony’s price tag may initially seem steep for Betis, the potential upside is substantial. The Brazilian showed glimpses of his best form in Spain.
His time at Old Trafford did not work out for the player or for the club and it is the best time to part ways.
Antony enjoyed his football in Spain and revived his career which looked to be falling apart at Man United.
A permanent move could offer the stability and system fit he needs to fully reignite his career.
