Manchester United remain in the race to sign one of Bayern Munich’s prized assets, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
The Red Devils are aiming to bolster their forward department before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
The club are interested in signing Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich, and he has not ruled out a late move.
Tel has reportedly rejected Tottenham Hotspur’s permanent offer. He prefers staying with Bayern rather than joining Spurs.
United could make a loan swoop for Tel
The Red Devils have misfired in front of goal this campaign. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to find consistency.
Manager Ruben Amorim may want a fresh solution from the transfer window. Tel would be a quality acquisition on a short-term deal.
The ‘record-breaking‘ youngster is blessed with plenty of pace and has good dribbling skills.
He can play on either wing or lead the attack on his own. Tel showed his versatility on Wednesday by operating as a left wing-back.
United could succeed in signing the youngster on a straight-loan deal, provided they can guarantee him regular game time.
They can assess his performances for the rest of the season to find out whether he can adapt to the demands of the Premier League.
United could lodge a permanent transfer bid in the summer if he were to succeed.
