Mainz 05 have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Australian left-back Kasey Bos.
Bundesliga outfit Mainz 05 have completed the signing of 21-year-old left-back Kasey Bos from Melbourne Victory.
The Australian youngster has signed a long-term deal with the Zerofivers, committing to the club until 2029.
“Kasey is a dynamic and hard-running player for the left flank. With his strengths in both attack and defence, as well as his courageous style of play, he fits the profile we were looking for perfectly,” said Mainz sporting director Niko Bungert.
“He has already proven his talent in the A-League, and we believe he can hold his own in the Bundesliga and develop well alongside an experienced player like Phillipp Mwene.”
Bos, who recently received his first senior call-up to the Australian national team, is excited to make the move to Europe.
“The talks with the club were great, and the city made a really cool impression on me. The Bundesliga is super exciting with a high sporting level. Mitchell Langerak, my teammate in Melbourne, already gave me some tips. I’m now looking forward to meeting the team, the fans, and getting to know Mainz better.”
