Mainz are set to sign Marco Richter from Hertha BSC, according to reports.

According to Bild and Sky Germany, Mainz 05 are close to completing the signing of Marco Richter from Hertha BSC.


Hertha will reportedly receive a fee of just over €3 million for the 25-year-old attacker, who is expected to complete his medical in Mainz today.

Richter, who has captained Hertha since the club’s relegation from the Bundesliga, scored six goals and added five assists in 29 games last season.

He joined the capital club from Augsburg in 2021 for a reported fee of €7 million.
