Mainz have made a terrible start to the season and sit bottom of the Bundesliga with just one point after four games.
Despite this, Bo Svensson’s job as Mainz coach does not appear to be in danger.
“We have internal peace and are far from having a breakdown. We are one hundred percent behind Bo, who is doing a great job,” Mainz sporting director Martin Schmidt told Kicker.
Schmidt added that he thought Mainz’s performance in Saturday’s 1-3 loss to Stuttgart was “okay”.
