New Tottenham signing James Maddison has rounded off an impressive first month as a Spurs player by being named the Premier League player of the month for August.
The England star arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Leicester in June as part of a £40m deal and has had a major impact at the North London club, who currently sit second in the Premier League table.
The 26-year-old has scored two goals and assisted a further two across his opening four matches as a Tottenham player and manager Ange Postecoglou will be hoping for more throughout the course of the season.

Maddison is the first Tottenham player to win the award since Harry Kane in March 2022 and fended off competition from Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest), Jarod Bowen (West Ham), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and Rodri (Manchester City) to win the award.
The midfielder is spearheading a new era at Tottenham and their manager Ange Postecoglou has also been announced as the manager of the month for August.
The London club have impressed many throughout the opening part of the campaign and it remains to be seen how they will fair come the end of the season.
