Dejan Lovren is not in the picture at Olympique Lyonnais, and he has not been for some time. His last performance in an OL shirt dates back to January, and since Pierre Sage’s arrival as manager, it has been made clear that he is not in the frame for the first team.
He was placed in the ‘loft’ at Lyon at the start of the summer, along with a raft of other players, including veteran goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, as the club looked to raise funds. However, a move failed to take form. The transfer window in France opened and shut without any considerable interest being shown in the Croatian centre-back.
However, there are other windows that remain open, importantly the Greek transfer window. Fabrizio Romano understands that Lovren is now closing in on a move to PAOK. The final details need to be clarified before the completion of his move to Greece.
