Lyon and Brøndby are close to reaching a complete agreement regarding the transfer of Denmark U21 international midfielder Noah Nartey (20) to the Ligue 1 side, according to L’Equipe. Les Gones’ outlay for Nartey is reportedly close to the €8m mark. Nartey’s transfer reportedly includes a further €2m in performance-related add-ons as well as a sell-on percentage. The 20-year-old versatile midfielder, who can also fill in on the wings, is tied with Brøndby over a contract set to expire in 2027.
Nartey has already agreed to a four-and-a-half-year deal with Paulo Fonseca’s Lyon side. Les Gones were in the market for attacking reinforcements during this winter transfer window. They have already signed Real Madrid centre-forward Endrick on loan. Angers midfielder Hamid Abdelli was also in their sights, but the Algerian international has his heart set on a move to Marseille.
