Castello Lukeba is reportedly close to signing a new contract with RB Leipzig.

Since his arrival from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2023, Castello Lukeba has emerged as a key player at the heart of RB Leipzig’s defense.
Now, the 21-year-old looks set to be rewarded for his fine performances with a new contract.
According to RMC, Lukeba’s contract, which runs until 2028, is about to be extended for another year until 2029.
Reports have claimed that there is a release clause of €70 million for 2025 included in Lukeba’s current contract. Whether the terms of the contract will be adjusted with the extension is unclear.
By announcing a contract extension for Lukeba, Leipzig would send a strong signal to top clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liveprool, who have been mentioned as possible suitors.
However, such a commitment doesn’t necessarily rule out a move next year, with RMC reporting that Leipzig are expecting to receive inquiries for the centre-back.
