RB Leipzig are sweating over the fitness of Benjamin Sesko and Castello Lukeba ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga home game against Hoffenheim.
With both players struggling with minor injuries, Leipzig will make a decision on their availability after today’s training session.
“Šeško and Lukeba have to be checked today. We have to find out how they are,” said RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose at his pre-match press conference.
Reports have suggested that Saturday’s match will be Forsberg’s last at the Red Bull Arena, with the Swedish striker set to join the New York Red Bulls in January.
While Rose would not confirm those reports, he did guarantee that Forsberg will play, but it is unclear if he will start or come off the bench.
“We had an intense Champions League game two days ago [2-1 win over Bern], where Emil also played almost 75 minutes. And we have another important game on Tuesday,” Rose said, adding:
“But what I can tell you for sure is that Emil will definitely be on the pitch. We’ll see when and how.”
