Speaking at Borussia Mönchengladbach’s AGM, sporting director Roland Virkus has confirmed that Lucien Favre will not be their successor to Adi Hütter.
“Borussia has a place in Lucien Favre’s heart, but he doesn’t want to work in Germany anymore,” said Virkus. “You can be sure that we did everything, but I don’t think that Lucien will be the next head coach of Borussia.”
Answering a fan’s question, Virkus added: “We’re in talks with several coaching candidates with the goal of eventually finding a head coach who fits Borussia. You can trust me what we’ll come to a good decision.”
Favre also had an offer from Al-Nassr but also interest from former side OGC Nice.
