Liverpool have set a significant price tag for Federico Chiesa, complicating Juventus’ hopes of bringing the winger back to Turin this winter.
According to information from Romeo Agresti, relayed by Calciomercato, the Premier League giants are demanding €20m for a permanent transfer. This figure represents a sharp increase from the previously discussed valuation of €12m, marking a shift in the English club’s stance.
While Juventus have been exploring a return for the Italian international, their current proposal is centered on a loan deal. The Bianconeri consider Liverpool’s current financial demands to be too high and are not yet prepared to commit to an outright purchase at that price.
However, there is a sense of optimism within the Juve camp that Liverpool’s position could soften in the coming days. The Turin hierarchy believes that the return of Mohamed Salah from the Africa Cup of Nations will bolster Liverpool’s attacking options, potentially making them more flexible in negotiations as they look to streamline their squad.
