Liverpool Players Rated In Loss Vs Real Madrid

Here’s how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against Los Blancos.

Liverpool Players Rated In Loss Vs Real Madrid

Alisson Becker 6

The Brazilian shot-stopper didn’t have too much to do in between the sticks tonight as Real Madrid had just two shots on target all game.

Andrew Robertson 6

The Scottish left-back was more involved in the defensive duties and rarely found joy in getting past Carvajal.

Ibrahima Konate 6.5

The France centre-back did a decent job defending against Vinicius Junior as the Brazilian winger was outmuscled every time he tried to dribble past him.

Virgil van Dijk 6

The Dutch international rarely found himself in troublesome situations, but he could have done better to prevent Real Madrid’s goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 5

The England right-back had a good first half where Liverpool was mostly in control of the game. The second half burdened him with more defensive responsibilities, which saw him getting outclassed time and again. He left Vinicus Jr. unmarked on the far post which lead to the only goal of the game.

Fabinho 6

The Brazilian midfielder shielded his backline well over the course of the match. However, he started losing discipline once Liverpool went a goal down.

Jordan Henderson 6

The skipper was all over the pitch during the first forty-five minutes of the match, thereby exhibiting an exemplary work rate on both ends of the pitch. However, the standards drastically came down in the second half.

Thiago Alcantara 6.5

The Spaniard stayed deep and linked up the play on numerous occasions. He was exempted from the pressing duties to a large extent as he was carrying an injury.

Luis Diaz 5

The Colombian winger looked full of menace down the left wing but came up short against Dani Carvajal time and again.

Sadio Mane 6.5

The Senegalese striker was clever with his movement in and around the box as it made chance creation easier for his side. He even took a couple of shots on target over the course of the game, but Courtois got his hands on the ball every time.

Mohamed Salah 7

The Egyptian winger would have scored at least a couple of goals in this game if it was anybody other than Thibaut Courtois between the sticks tonight. He kept trying until the last minute and even got a 1v1 chance, but the Belgian goalkeeper came out on top every time.

Substitutes –

Diogo Jota 5

He came on with the intention to change the game but failed to do so.

Naby Keita 5

He added energy to Liverpool’s midfield.

Roberto Firmino 5.5

The Brazilian created a difference via his clever movements and passing as soon as he came on.
