Premier League side Liverpool have now opened up to a loan exit of winger Federico Chiesa.
The Italian had arrived at Liverpool in the summer after a cut-price move from Juventus but he has not made a mark due to fitness and adaptation issues.
Daniele Longo has reported that Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani will have a meeting with the Liverpool management in the next few days to discuss the player’s future, with the Reds having opened up to a loan deal in January already.
Liverpool also want to make sure that the 27-year-old plays more often at a club where he feels valued and Napoli have stepped forward. An exploratory contact has been made by the Partenopei, whose manager Antonio Conte is interested in a move for the ex-Bianconeri star.
A problem emerged in talks between the two clubs and that relates to Chiesa’s salary. As of now, club sporting director Giovanni Manna is trying to convince Liverpool to cover a part of the player’s wages as Napoli look to make a difficult move possible.
