Sport Bild reports that Liverpool are in regular contact with Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong as the Dutchman looks for a move in the summer.
It has previously been reported that Frimpong is looking to take the next step in his career this summer and he will cost any potential suitors around €40m.
Liverpool are said to be one of the teams interested in Frimpong and have been in regular contact with the 24-year-old. Head coach Arne Slot is also said to have expressed his support for Frimpong last summer.
However, Frimpong is not the only Bundesliga player Liverpool are said to be interested in. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ansgar Knauff is also said to be of interest to the Premier League leaders. The Borussia Dortmund academy graduate is more versatile than Frimpong as he can play on either wing and will also be cheaper, with a fee rumoured to be around €25m.
Elsewhere in defensive Wolfsburg’s Konstantinos Koulierakis and Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck are both seen as potential options to boost Liverpool’s centre-back depth.
