Liverpool are reportedly ready to battle Bayern Munich for the potential signing of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The 22-year-old left-sided attacking player is seemingly facing an uncertain future this summer, despite contributing a superb 17 goals and 14 assists for PSG in all competitions in 2024/25.
There’s a lot of competition for places in this PSG squad, and that could perhaps mean Barcola is tempted to try a move elsewhere.
And according to a report from the Sun, Liverpool are now exploring Barcola as another transfer target for their attack this summer.
The report suggests the Reds could spend big on even more signings despite already closing in on the club-record purchase of Florian Wirtz, as per David Ornstein of the Athletic.

Bradley Barcola linked as £100m Liverpool transfer target
The Sun state that Liverpool and Bayern Munich are both keen on Barcola, who could cost as much as £100m.
Alexander Isak is also mentioned in the report as another big-name target for LFC, who could be about to embark on a monster transfer window of big spending.
Barcola is probably slightly more realistic than Isak, with the Sun’s report suggesting Newcastle might ask for as much as £150m for their star striker, which would be too expensive for Liverpool.
Barcola at £100m, however, arguably looks like a pretty generous price, making him slightly less expensive than Wirtz.
Bradley Barcola stats comparison
See below as this graphic from DataMB shows how Barcola compares to Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo as an option on the left-hand side.

All three are clearly superb players who contribute a lot in attack, but Barcola fares better on assists, key passes, and ball carries.
Given that Barcola is still only 22, he could end up being a better player in the long term, so this would certainly be an exciting signing if it happened.
It could also be that Barcola is being eyed to replace Diaz, who has been the subject of interest from Barcelona, as recently reported by BBC Sport and others.
