According to a report from Foot Mercato, Lille OSC have seen a bid for Arnaud Nordin (26) rejected by Montpellier HSC.
In preparation for another European campaign, either in the UEFA Champions League or Europa League, Lille are looking to add strength – and perhaps more importantly – depth to their squad this summer, especially given that key performers such as Jonathan David and Leny Yoro look set to depart.
Les Dogues have therefore used the current TV rights situation – and the financial difficulties that it has brought – to try and take one of the top performers of one of the clubs struggling most – Montpellier. The bid for Nordin is worth a mere €3.5m, according to Foot Mercato, which is a long way short of MHSC’s valuation of the forward, one of their most consistent performers over the course of the past two seasons, despite injuries. It is thought that Montpellier value Nordin at €10m, almost three times the amount offered by LOSC.
