Game of the week: Olympique Lyonnais v Olympique de Marseille, Sunday 20:00 (UK)
Luke: Top meets bottom in the opening game of Round 32 of the 2022/23 Ligue 1 season. PSG should have little difficulty in getting the job done away to Angers, who are consigned to relegation to the second tier of French football. However, the clubs around them, RC Lens and Olympique de Marseille will have a much more difficult job in keeping in the race. Lens face Monaco on Saturday with both sides embroiled in a battle for the bottom step of the podium. Whilst Monaco manager Philippe Clement said that it isn’t a “decisive” match, the Belgian did nonetheless admit that it was a “six-pointer.” Marseille then face Lyon in the Choc des Olympiques on Sunday night. Both sides are in the race to secure some form of European qualification, and both have lacked consistency of late.
