GFFN editor-in-chief Luke Entwistle, and sub-editors Raphaël Jucobin and Bastien Cheval face off in our Ligue 1 predictions competition. This season, GFFN will also be hosting guests. Earlier this season, The Athletic’s Alex Barker participated and became the first name on our guest leaderboard, and he has since been joined by Julien Laurens. It’s three points for a correct score, two points for a correct score difference, and one point for a correct result. Who will come out on top at the end of the season?

Game of the week: OGC Nice v Olympique de Marseille, Friday 20:45 (UK)
For Nice, the international break has been an opportunity to regather. Their form prior to the international break had fallen off a cliff, culminating in a defeat to FC Metz. The atmosphere around the place seemed off. Between the Jonathan Clauss saga and Franck Haise’s growing frustration with his players, there was a growing sense of crisis that a fortnight without football has perhaps warded off.
Le Gym prefer high-quality opposition, as they have repeatedly shown this season. And so, whilst form would suggest that Marseille are strong favourites for this encounter, given their league standing, this should be a tightly-contested affair.
