Following their 2-1 victory against PSG on Saturday, no team has accumulated more points in Ligue 1 than Strasbourg in 2025. Liam Rosenior has masterminded his side to an impressive 40 points so far this year in the French top flight. The team closest to the Alsatian outfit is Les Parisiens, the team that they defeated on Saturday afternoon. Luis Enrique’s side have accumulated 38 points.
This impressive accolade has seen Strasbourg bring themselves into contention for qualifying for the UEFA Champions League football next season. The Racing club currently sit in 5th, behind Nice on goal difference, with two games left to play in Ligue 1.
Making history
In addition to rising to the top of the points achieved table in 2025, Rosenior’s side are making history with the points they have achieved this season. Only one other side in Strasbourg’s history have achieved more points at this stage of the season – the 1978/79 title-winning team accumulated 65 points after 32 matches.
