Patrik Schick could return to the Bayer Leverkusen squad for the upcoming Bundesliga match after working his way back from a long-term muscle injury.
However, head coach Xabi Alonso has not yet made a final decision on the striker’s involvement, as he announced at the pre-match press conference today.
“Patrik has already trained with the team, and today we will decide if he is in the squad or if maybe we need a bit more time,” Alonso told reporters.
“But he feels much better,” he added.
After finding the net 24 times in 27 league matches last season, Schick has only scored twice in 11 games this term.
