Striker legend and Nürnberg coach Miroslav Klose will have a new talent at his disposal for next season: Nürnberg have secured the services of Leverkusen talent Artem Stepanov on a one-year loan deal for the upcoming season!
Nürnberg have made extremly good experiences with loan players in recent history: they brought in Stefanos Tzimas on loan from PAOK Saloniki, then bought him for a record fee of €18 million, before selling him to Premier League club Brighton for another record fee of €25 million – making a net profit of €7 million!
Tzimas has performed very well during his loan spell and Nürnberg are now hoping to replace him with the next striker talent in Leverkusen’s Artem Stepanov. However, there is no option to buy included in this deal.
The 17-year-old Ukrainian has already featured twice for Leverkusen this season, but was mainly used in their U19-team, where he scored 21 goals in 24 games.
