Leverkusen and Freiburg discover opponents

Here’s the full draw for the Europa League round of 16, which took place on Friday.

Two German teams, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SC Freiburg, were involved in the draw for the Europa League round of 16 on Friday.


Having booked their place in the last 16 with a comeback win against Lens on Thursday, Freiburg were drawn against West Ham, who they also played and lost to twice in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen will also face a team they played in the group stage, namely Qarabag.

The draw in full:
Sparta Prague – Liverpool
Marseille – Villarreal
Roma – Brighton
Benfica – Rangers
Freiburg – West Ham
Sporting CP – Atalanta
Milan – Sparta Prague
Qarabag – Leverkusen
