RC Lens will look to return to the top of Ligue 1 this afternoon when they host struggling AJ Auxerre.
Pierre Sage’s title chasers will be without Odsonne Édouard. The former Crystal Palace striker has struggled with injuries this month (having to be withdrawn early in the win over Toulouse FC) and will be unavailable for selection today. In his place, Sage will have a choice to make, with L’Équipe predicting it’ll be Morgan Guilavogui over the usual pick of Rayan Fofana.
Sage will also be without backup keeper Régis Gurtner, who has likely suffered a season-ending injury. In his place, the teenagers Adam Delplace and Ilan Jourden will warm the bench, with Robin Risser continuing to impress following his move from RC Strasbourg Alsace in the summer.
Lens likely lineup v Auxerre
Robin Risser; Malang Sarr, Samson Baidoo, Ismaëlo Ganiou; Matthieu Udol, Andrija Bulatović, Adrien Thomasson, Ruben Aguilar; Wesley Saïd, Morgan Guilavogui, Florian Thauvin. (L’Éq)
