Leipzig want rid of Moriba permanently

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, in quoting RB Leipzig personnel boss Max Eberl, reports that RB Leipzig wish to permanently offload disaffected Spanish prospect Ilaix Moriba this summer. 

After two loan-outs and an unceasing stream of reports that the Spanish-Guinean midfielder was dissatisfied with his role at RB Leipzig, it appears as if the German Red Bulls wish to be rid of Ilaix Moriba permanently. Newly installed RB sporting chief personnel executive Max Eberl told the local Leipziger Volkszeitung that he did “not wish to maintain a player uncommitted to the team.”

Acquired for a hefty sum €16 million in the autumn of 2021, Moriba ended up logging a platy total of 100 minutes across all competitions for his German club. On his second loan out to FC Valencia, the 20-year-old has failed to crack the starting XI regularly at La Liga’s 17th-placed-side. His estimated market worth has fallen from a peak of €25 million to €6 million in the latest transfermarkt update.

A buyer can still presumably be found for the one-time Barça standout. The right-footers current contract with Leipzig runs through the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
