Peter Gulacsi missed RB Leipzig’s 2-1 Champions League win over Sporting CP with a shoulder problem and was replaced by Maarten Vandevoordt.
The Hungarian shot-stopper is now feeling better, but it is unclear if he will be fit enough to face Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
“Pete is doing better,” revealed RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose at his pre-match press conference.
“Now we just have to wait and see in training how it will actually work out on the pitch. Today’s final training session will be important,” said the Leipzig coach.
In other news, Castello Lukeba returned to training on Thursday and could be included in the squad, but Xaver Schlager remains sidelined.
