Twenty-year-old Spanish attacker Hugo Novoa – recently returned early from what was supposed to be an extended loan stint with FC Basel – would get a fresh chance to hone his skills in the Dutch Erdevisie. A season-long loan out to FC Utrecht was confirmed late yesterday evening. The RB administrative team, in the process, reduced their active roster to 26 players. U.S. youngster Caden Clark was parked in Denmark earlier in the day.
Despite his issues in Switzerland, Novoa is still regarded as a top-notch prospect. The Spanish youth international maintains an estimated market worth of €4.3 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Novoa did score once and register three assists in Switzerland last spring. He’s also netted two tallies in 23 appearances for the RBL senior team.
