RB Leipzig confirmed that American midfielder Caden Clark would be permanently departing the German Red Bulls late Thursday on their social media feed.

Twenty-year-old American attacking midfielder Caden Clark is headed on his way out of Germany having not logged a single minute of action for his German club. Some two-and-a-half years after purchasing the Minnesota-native from their sister New York club, RB Leipzig confirmed that Clark’s current loan stint with Danish side Vendsyssel FF (his third since joining the club) will be his last under an RB contract.
On the club’s official twitter feed, Leipzig announced that Clark would be headed back to his home U.S. state. A transfer to Minnesota United of America’s MLS has been arranged effective January 1st, 2024. Details about a transfer fee were not revealed. Leipzig paid approximately €1.8 million to purchase Clark in January 2021. He maintains a current estimated market worth of €2 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
