With things not going well for Timo Werner this season, rumors of a winter exit for the RB Leipzig attacker have surfaced. But Die Roten Bullen do not expect him to go anywhere in January.
“I assume that he will play the second half of the season with us. We know what he can do, he just has to show it on the pitch again,” RB Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schröder told Bild.
However, Schröder won’t completely rule out a January exit.
“We’ll see what happens, football is a day-to-day business.”
Werner, 27, is contracted to Leipzig until 2026. He has scored two goals in 14 matches for Leipzig this season.
