Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has now reached an agreement with current Sampdoria owner Massimo Ferrero to buy the Genoa-based club.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that after the shareholders’ meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, the agreement between the two parties has now been reached. Radrizzani and his partner Matteo Manfredi had recently revealed that an agreement was previously reached with the club’s board and only the agreement with Ferrero was pending. The meeting between the parties had started this afternoon.
Having said that, the Samp players haven’t been paid their salaries on time and the club will start with a four-point deduction in Serie B next season.
Ferrero has accepted the conditions offered especially for employees and creditors and he is definitively exiting under conditions that the buyers will then set out in detail. On the side of the buyers, the work of Manfredi and Francesco Di Gennaro (lawyer) was vital and without them, this would not have been achieved.
