The rumours of Manchester United being interested in landing Sergej Milinković-Savić have reemerged. Lazio president Claudio Lotito has insisted that he will not sell the player for €50 million.
Speaking to Il Messaggero (as quoted by Noi Biancocelesti), Lotito addressed the rumours linking Milinković-Savić with a move away from the Roman club. Denying those reports, the club president said:
“Milinkovic for €50 million? At that amount, I don’t sell it, it’s worth much more. Our market is thus complete and finished. Also because Luis Alberto will also remain. I quickly kept all the promises I had made. All the reinforcements Sarri wanted on the sheet have been taken.”
Reports in England have suggested that Man United see the 27-year-old Serbian as a potential alternative to Frenkie de Jong, who is understood to be the Premier League club’s priority this summer. It is believed that the Mancunian side is currently working on signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus. They have reportedly agreed on a transfer fee of around €18 million for the Frenchman. But the English side is yet to find an agreement with the player’s entourage on personal terms.
