Serie A giants Lazio are in talks to extend Mattia Zaccagni’s contract at the club, with the player continuing to impress this season.
Il Messaggero have reported that Claudio Lotito is quite keen on making sure that the Italian stays at the club in the longer term, with the winger having the best season of his career. His value has essentially quintupled and talks with his entourage are already underway regarding his extension.
A meeting could take place in the next few days for further talks, with an extension till the summer of 2027 proposed to the player’s agents. Zaccagni wants to make sure that he goes from currently earning €1.8 million per season to earning €3 million per season in the next deal.
Zaccagni is aiming to start in the upcoming game against Inter and it is expected to be a massive game for the Biancocelesti and even for Napoli in their hunt for the Scudetto.
