Las Palmas and Atlético Madrid are in talks for Vitolo. The Segunda side and the Spanish forward are hoping to reach an agreement so he can return to the club where his career began.
According to AS, no progress has yet been made in the negotiations and no agreement has been reached, although there is optimism on both sides.
Vitolo renewed his contract with Atlético until 2024 and left to join Getafe on loan at the beginning of this season, but constant injuries have prevented him from playing regularly.
The 32-year-old has only managed seven appearances for Los Azulones, playing a total of 217 minutes. His time at Atlético is up and a departure this summer is inevitable.
There is interest coming from elsewhere, however, the option of Las Palmas is the one that both the player and his family want. There is interest on both sides and they are looking for ways to make it happen and reach an agreement in the next few days.
Between his two previous spells at Las Palmas, Vitolo played 101 games, scoring a total of 27 goals and providing eight assists.
