Konrad Laimer has admitted he could leave RB Leipzig this summer amid reported interest from Bayern München and Manchester United.
For now, the Austrian international is focused on his country’s upcoming Nations League matches against Croatia, Denmark and France. After those games, he wants to sort out his future.
“It’s quite possible that I won’t be playing in Leipzig next season,” Laimer told reporters at a media roundtable today.
“It’s a phase, where I think about my future. I’m focusing on the national team now. After that I will sit down and talk to the people closest to me and see what is the best possible next step for me,” Laimer continued.
“I’m taking my time because it’s a very important decision,” emphasized the midfielder.
RB Leipzig want to keep Laimer, but since the defensive midfielder is out of contract in 2023, ‘Die Roten Bullen’ might want to cash in on him if he doesn’t want to sign a new deal.
