Germany’s “Sport Bild” – in concluding its minute-by-minute report of the latest 0-3 defeat to 1. FC Union Berlin – is now claiming that Bruno Labbadia has coached his last game for the Swabians. After only one league win in 12 matches, the club’s designated “firefighter” is supposedly through.
The tabloid brings former Hoffenheim, Hamburger SV, and 1. FC Köln trainer Markus Gisdol’s name into the conversation. Gisdol actually replaced Labbadia once before, taking over for him in Hamburg in September of the 2016/17 campaign.
