Kylian Mbappé supports racially abused Inter striker Romelu Lukaku: “We won’t let you do it.”

PSG forward Kylian Mbappé (24) has offered words of support to Belgian international Inter striker Romelu Lukaku (29). The Chelsea loanee was racially abused by so-called football fans during the first leg of the Italian Cup between Inter and Juventus at Turin’s Allianz Stadium on Tuesday night. Racist chants were loudly heard when Lukaku stepped up to score a 94th-minute penalty to give his side an equaliser.

Both clubs and the Italian football League have condemned those awful chants. France captain Mbappé has also stepped up on Instagram to share his anger and his support to Lukaku. Mbappé makes it clear that he is disillusioned and fed up by the presence of racism and discrimination in football stands. “ 2023 and still the same problems. But we won’t let you do it. ALL AGAINST RACISM »

Mbappé is no stranger to racism abuse. The France international suffered from it after missing his spotkick against Switzerland in the RO16 of the Euro 2020 and he had criticised then French FA president Noël Le Graët over the lack of support he was given.
