Kylian Mbappé (25) is set to undergo a thorough medical examination on Tuesday as Real Madrid hope to find out more about the injury he suffered to his nose in the opening game of the Euros, according to information reported by Marca.
The Spanish paper further reported that the France and Real Madrid medical staff had been in constant communication over the status of Mbappé, although the club could not intervene directly because the player was under the French team’s sphere of influence.
The medical planned on Tuesday will provide his new club with a roadmap for when the player will be back to full fitness and will reveal if the forward will need surgery or not. Mbappé is expected to miss the team’s tour of the United States, but Carlo Ancelotti hopes that he will be ready for the European Super Cup on the 14th of August against Atalanta.
