Kylian Mbappé rejects Saudi Arabia offer

Having been the subject of an a world-record offer worth €300m from Al-Hilal, Kylian Mbappé has refused to enter talks with representatives of the Saudi Arabian club, according to L’Équipe tonight.

A delegation of the Gulf state team had been in the French capital today to complete the signing of Brazilian winger Malcom, and were hoping to make the most of the trip by meeting with the France captain. However, the 24-year-old and his entourage have turned down the prospect of meeting with the Saudi outfit.

PSG, who are desperate to avoid losing Mbappé on a free transfer at the end of next season, had authorised Al-Hilal to enter talks with the forward. The World Cup winner is showing no signs of triggering the one-year extension clause in his contract, whch expires at the end of the current month. The Ligue 1 champions – who have sidelined Mbappé from Luis Enrique’s main squad – intend to sell him this summer should he refuse to extend. Nevertheless, the Frenchman has publicly declared his intention to stay in Paris for the upcoming campaign.
