Kylian Mbappe has been locked in a bitter dispute with former club Paris Saint-Germain for a few months now. The Real Madrid summer signing is demanding unpaid wages owed to him by the French champions – the total amount being asked for is reported to be €55m.
In recent weeks, it was reported that the two parties would meet at the request of Ligue 1’s Legal Commission, with a view to an amicable outcome being reached. A mediation session took place on Wednesday, but as Relevo have reported, it did not go well.
No agreement was reached, meaning that the case will now move to trial. It was Ligue 1 that proposed the meditation, but Mbappe’s camp have rejected it – their intention is to win in court.
Mbappe continues to be focused on Real Madrid amid all of this. He did not attend the meeting on Wednesday as he was in training with the rest of his teammates ahead of Saturday’s visit to Real Sociedad.
