“We won’t sell any key players”

Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche has confirmed reports that Daichi Kamada is heading for the exit door.

The Japan international is out of contract at the end of the season and is set to leave the club on a free transfer.

“The situation with Daichi is that he will probably leave us,” Krösche told ZDF on Saturday evening.

He also addressed speculation over the future of head coach Oliver Glasner, who is stalling on a contract extension beyond 2024.

Asked if Eintracht could imagine going into the final year of Glasner’s contract, Krösche replied:

“Why not? There is a contract until 2024, why shouldn’t we do that? I don’t see any problem with us going into the last year.

“Our goal is to work together in the long term,” the Eintracht boss stressed.
