Despite struggling for regular playing time last season, Christoph Kramer is not looking to leave Gladbach.

German World Cup winner Christoph Kramer has insisted he has no plans to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer.

Asked if he expected to play for Gladbach again, the 33-year-old defensive midfielder told the Bild newspaper:

“Probably! I still have a year left on my contract. Borussia Mönchengladbach is my club. It would be strange to leave through the back door.”

From a sporting perspective, things are not looking easy for Kramer, who was limited to just one start in the 2023/24 season.

“I’m an athlete. It’s a different situation for me. For the first time in my life I’m not a starter, which feels strange. But if that’s the case at 33, then I have to face it,” he said.

Kramer, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, has one year left on his contract with Gladbach.
