Sky Germany reports that PAOK’s Konstantinos Koulierakis is the favourite to replace Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back William Pacho who is close to joining PSG.
An agreement between Frankfurt and Koulierakis has already been reached in regard to personal terms but Die Adler and the Greek side have yet to reach an agreement in terms of a transfer fee. The 20-year-old currently has a contract at the Thessaloniki side until 2026 and is valued at €8m by transfermarkt.
Frankfurt had even discussed potentially signing Atalanta defender Sead Kolasinac, who could also fill in at left-back but the club have decided to pursue Koulierakis instead. Last season the Greek international played 37 times for Paok, scoring four.
His predecessor, Pacho leaves Deutsch Bank Park after only a season at the club. The Ecuadorian played 44 times for Frankfurt as they finished sixth in the Bundesliga. Frankfurt are still stacked in the centre-back position with the arrival of Aurèle Amenda in the summer adding to the likes of Robin Koch, Tuta and Nnamdi Collins as Die Adler’s options.
