Bayern Munich recovered from an early deficit to crush Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Speaking after the game, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany was pleased with the way the match unfolded.
“We stayed calm after the early goal. We were better in the first half, even if it wasn’t our best half,” Kompany told Prime Video after the game.
“We got stronger later on and I’m happy with the way the game went today. Overall, it was a solid game and we were dominant. We had more chances than our opponents,” added the Bayern coach, who doesn’t want Shakhtar’s opening goal to overshadow a comfortable win.
“I’m not talking about the one move they made when we scored five goals. I just want to say to my team that it was good. But of course there’s always room for improvement.”
