Kompany and staff plan regular minutes for Ibrahimovic

German journalist Georg Holzner reports that 18-year-old winger Arijon Ibrahimovic is a firm part of FC Bayern München’s squad planning next season.

His 2023/24 season loan-out in Serie A having been an unqualified success, it appears as if FC Bayern München are planning to make 18-year-old winger/attacking midfielder Arijon Ibrahimovic a permanent fixture of the squad next year. This is according to the FC Bayern München correspondent of Germany’s preeminent footballing publication.

German journalist Georg Holzner – who has reliable access to insiders at the German record champions – claims that Bayern feel the teenage talent has matured from “boy to man”. Ibrahimovic has netted three goals and chipped in two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for relegated side Frosinone Calcio. Holzner contacted Frosinone Guido Angelozzi for comment.

“Ibrahimovic is a player with great potential who can play in various attacking positions,” Angelozzi told Holzner, “He is very talented and I am convinced that he will win himself an important place at FC Bayern in the coming years. He was crucial for us this year in the first half of the season with a goal in the cup and the winning goal against Empoli in the league.

Inrahimovic appears poised to join Aleksandar Pavlovic and Mathys Tel to complete a trio of young players expected to gain regular playing time under newly appointed head-coach Vicent Kompany. There has been some talk of Bayern bringing back another prospect who thrived in the Italian league, striker Joshua Zirkzee. At present, however, it appears as if the FCB shall simply cash in on Zirkzee’s transfer to Milan.
