Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln look set to begin paring down their surfeit of strikers by sending 31-year-old Swedish forward Sebastian Andersson north to Brøny in Copenhagen. Andersson, brought in by die Geißböcke from 1. FC Union Berlin ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, was never really ale to establish himself in the cathedral city following a raft of injuries.
The one-time €6.5 million signing has seen his estimated market worth drop to €2 million after making just 47 appearances across all competitions for his current Bundesliga side over the course of the last two years. The exact nature of the transfer is unknown at this point, but it is reasonable to assume that the veteran will be sold rather than loaned.
Andersson’s current contract expires at the end of the season.
