Borussia Mönchengladbach have received a major boost, as captain Tim Kleindienst and winger Nathan Ngoumou returned to team training on Monday after long spells on the sidelines.
Both players took part in training for around 45 minutes and finished slightly earlier than the rest of the squad, skipping the final training match, according to local outlet Rheinische Post.
“We’re using this time to reintegrate them. Both have been eagerly awaiting this and are raring to go,” said Gladbach coach Eugen Polanski.
“Tim is a particularly important player because of his captaincy, and we might include him in the squad sooner.”
After scoring 16 Bundesliga goals last season, Kleindienst suffered a knee injury in May that has kept him sidelined ever since, while Ngoumou has been out since April with an Achilles tendon rupture
