Kingsley Coman: “We have to give everything to win.”

Speaking via Bayern Munich’s official channels ahead of their Champions League clash against Manchester City, Kingsley Coman urged his teammates to give everything as they look to secure a place in the semi-final.

“We have to defend with lots of energy and be very motivated, play like Bayern, with confidence, desire and just give everything,” said Coman. “If we’re on form, anything can happen. We know we can do it, but we have to give everything to win.”

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will not travel with the squad to Manchester due to knee problems, which could see Serge Gnabry retain his place as Bayern’s No. 9, whilst Sadio Mané and Thomas Müller both remain central options.

With four goals in six Champions League games already for Bayern Munich this season, Choupo-Moting will be a big miss for Bayern Munich.

Coman also trained on Monday afternoon and after being an unused substitute in Bayern Munich’s 1-0 with against Freiburg on Saturday, is expected to play some part in Thomas Tuchel’s plans on Tuesday.

The Rekordmeister have also been given a boost with Lucas Hernandez now carrying out ball work in training, it’s the first time the Frenchman has kicked a ball since injuring his ACL in November.
