Kingsley Coman is out for 2 months with knee ligament tear

Kingsley Coman (27) sustained knee ligament damage during Bayern Munich’s 3-2 victory at FC Augsburg on Saturday. As per  L’Équipe, it has been revealed that the French international will be out for around two months after a scan revealed that he sustained a tear to the medial ligament of his left knee, severely reducing his chances of participating in Les Bleus forthcoming international fixtures against Germany (23rd March) and Chile (27th March).

The former PSG and Juventus man, who has won a league title in every season of his professional career, has scored three goals and provided three assists in 15 Bundesliga games this season. With the serial German champions facing a fight to defend their title amid an astonishing season from Xabi Alonso’s Bayer 04 Leverkusen as well as a tricky UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie with Serie A outfit S.S Lazio, Coman’s absence is one that Thomas Tuchel’s side can ill-afford.
